Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Syracuse Community Health Center will suspend testing for the coronavirus on Sunday, according to Onondaga County spokesman Justin Sayles.
The testing will resume Monday. It wasn’t immediately clear the reason for the pause.
The center began testing for coronavirus on March 16. These aren’t walk-in tests, though they are for people who don’t have a doctor.
Before going to the center, people who think they should be tested should call a hotline at Upstate University Hospital, 315-464-3979.
If the call-taker at Upstate recommends getting a test, based on the person’s condition, they will refer the patient to Syracuse Community Health Center. The center is at 819 S. Salina St.
