The United States Tennis Association's (UTSA) has honored the Delray Beach Tennis Center with its Outstanding Facility Awards. The award, which is awarded to only 25 winners each year, recognizes excellence in the construction and renovation of tennis facilities throughout the country.
Mayor Shelly Petrolia said, “Wining the US Tennis Association’s coveted Outstanding Facility Award is a feather in the cap of our community, and a wonderful acknowledgement of the clear vision and years of work by city leadership, Parks and Recreation staff, and our management team.”
The award-winning tennis center is a full-service public facility that features 14 clay courts, six hard courts, and an 8,200-seat stadium and hosts a wide variety of adult and junior programs, leagues, clinics, and camps, including the prestigious ATP Champions Tour and Delray Beach Open. The center is also the home court training facility for world renowned professional athletes such as Coco Gauff and Frances Tiafoe.
