CLARA CITY — An employee of the Clara City Care Center is self-isolating and recovering at home after testing positive for COVID-19, Matthew Blum, administrator, reported on Friday.

The Care Center has informed employees and residents of the situation, as well as the family members.

The Center is continuing to restrict all visitors, screen employees and vendors. “All staff and vendors entering our buildings are wearing masks and are required to take other precautions. We have limited resident contact and are screening residents to ensure proper isolation, if a resident would show symptoms of COVID-19,” Blum stated.

The Center’s priority remains keeping everyone safe and healthy, the administrator stated. The Center is in close communication with the State Department of Health and infectious disease specialists to ensure that all appropriate steps are taken

The Care Center announced that the employee tested positive in the interest of transparency and to ensure that the community is informed.
