The Center announced it will welcome back walk-in customers for purchasing its doughnuts beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5.
“Our donut staff and volunteers are ready to welcome back walk-in customers,” The Center Director DeAnn Barry stated in a news release. “Precautions have been put into place to allow for safe doughnut selection.”
Customers may enter The Center through the front door, go into the Great Room and go down the line of frosted doughnuts to select their choices for a dozen or half-dozen boxes of doughnuts. Walk-in customers are limited to four dozen doughnuts.
Anyone who wants more than four dozen boxes is asked to call The Center at 218-829-9345, before 4 p.m. Wednesday to place their order or go online at thebrainerdcenter.com. Curbside pickup will continue.
As staff and volunteers make this transition back to walk-in doughnut pickup, they ask people to be patient as they relearn the process. At this time, The Center will not be allowing individuals to sit down for coffee and doughnuts.
“It is not safe for us to do so,” Barry stated. “We will reassess as we move forward and update the community when we feel it is safe to do so.
“The Center sincerely appreciates the businesses and individuals who have had standing orders or have done curbside pickup this past year and a half. We couldn’t do this without your support.”
The Center is located at 803 Kingwood St., Brainerd.
