Fayetteville’s city buildings reopened on April 19, including the Yvonne Richardson Community Center.

The center is located at 240 E. Rock St., and includes a gymnasium, multi-purpose room and computer lab, as well as an outdoor garden shelter and playgrounds.

Current hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Pickleball is available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 2:30 p.m. Open gym is available from 3 to 7 p.m. These operational hours are in place until May 28. After that, summer hours will be in place.

Summer hours begin June 1 and are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Due to the limited facility capacity, the center will not be open to the public during the summer kids program from June 7 to July 29. The center will reopen to the public with summer hours on Aug. 2. Fall hours will resume Aug. 16.

Rental requests for the facility will be available after June 1.

From the city:

All visitors to the YRCC buildings are required to wear a mask. Masks will be provided at no charge to anyone who does not have one. Visitors are expected to continue following basic COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, including maintaining social distancing and staying home if they are sick. While the facility is open, there are capacity limits for each room, with a total indoor capacity of 50 patrons.
