GRUNDY CENTER, Iowa (KWWL) - KWWL has learned of a heavy law enforcement presence, due to a standoff situation in Grundy Center.
Several callers to the KWWL newsroom reported law enforcement officers have converged on a home in Grundy Center, after a traffic chase led to shots fired.
Reports indicate a standoff is underway involving law enforcement and a male suspect.
One source told KWWL's Ron Steele one officer may have been wounded. The source believes it is an Iowa State Trooper who has been taken to the Grundy County Memorial Hospital.
Highway 175, which runs east and west through Grundy Center, has been blocked off at last report.
