Graves joins IBM Center for The Business of Government

Margie Graves, the former deputy federal chief information officer and acting federal CIO, has lined up her next professional role after she left the government last year.

Graves has joined the IBM Center for The Business of Government as a senior fellow to focus on research, public speaking and writing on technology and data issues.

She also is now the digital strategist for IBM’s federal services team and on Big Blue’s Former Government Executives Council, according to a blog post from the center’s director Dan Chenok.

In her most recent role, Graves helped lead efforts out of the Office of Management and Budget to drive government-wide efforts in IT modernization and the future federal workforce.

Graves is currently chair of the Industry Advisory Council that works with the government-led American Council for Technology, which she is a former president of. The 2019 Fed 100 Government Eagle Award recipient is the only executive to have led both sides of the ACT-IAC partnership.
