Danbury health center to offer coronavirus testing
DANBURY — Testing for the coronavirus will be offered for the next three Wednesdays in June at the Greater Danbury Community Health Center.
The free testing is offered from 8:30 a.m to noon in the rear parking lot of 120 Main St. in collaboration with the state Department of Health, with results available in a few days. The center has hosted this testing periodically throughout the pandemic.
Testing is open to all, regardless of symptoms or exposure, with prescreening included.
Appointments are strongly encouraged and given to the first 200 who call 203-456-1413.
Follow-up telehealth visits are available for all those who wish to register with the health center as patients. The health center, run by the Connecticut Institute for Communities, accepts all patients regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Photo identification is required. Insurance cards are appreciated, but uninsured patients are also accepted.
The testing starts this Wednesday and continues June 17 and June 24.
