The LA Kings could be without defenseman Drew Doughty a little while longer as the latest report indicates his injury is worse than expected.
This may or may not impact the LA Kings positioning with the trade deadline looming, however, sources say Drew Doughty’s injury is more significant than expected and he could miss more time than the Kings originally feared.

Doughty, 32, last played on March 7 in the Kings’ stunning 3-2 overtime win in Boston. The former Norris Trophy winner apparently injured his hand in the contest.
The London, Ontario native is just one of several recent injuries the Kings have been forced to navigate around. In fact, Los Angeles’ current top six defensemen weren’t in the Opening Night lineup.
The Kings certainly don’t HAVE to make a move in advance of Monday’s trade deadline. Entering Saturday’s game against the Golden Knights, Todd McLellan’s group occupies second place in the Pacific Division with 19 games remaining.
Perhaps it’s not a big name to acquire but maybe a veteran presence that can help stabilize the right side until Doughty returns to the lineup. Two guys I’m looking at that probably won’t break the bank: Colin Miller (BUF) and Justin Braun (PHI).
Both players will be UFAs during the summer.
