Feather River College announced this evening, Oct. 20, that one of the children in the Child Development Center tested positive for COVID today.  The child was last on campus yesterday with the exposure limited to the Center.

CDC Director Kinderlin Hoznour and staff, are notifying all families, FRC student lab workers, and other employees who may have been in contact with the center.  FRC President Kevin Trutna said that they are to be commended for their swift response.

As a result of the child positive case, the CDC is implementing its state-approved COVID protocols. That includes sanitization of the entire Center, closing for 10 days to on-site children, implementing the remote learning plan, and providing to-go meals for families, among other items.  The CDC plans to reopen on Nov. 1.

“My appreciation goes out to the entire CDC staff for their commitment protecting the children and each other,” Trutna said.
