The Plaza Community Living Center in Pascagoula celebrated Nursing Home Week today.
This year’s annual celebration gave residents and their families an opportunity to be together again for one of the first times since the pandemic.

Sitting out in the front lawn, residents, staff, and guests enjoyed barbecue hamburgers and hot dogs, music, and games. Nursing Home Administrator Fallon Deffes said, “Now that we got some looser restrictions and things are starting to go on the up, that interaction between staff and residents and then families as well, is going to boost some spirits around here for sure.”
Staff tells News 25 “this year’s annual party meant more than ever, finally getting out and socializing with the community.”
