Welcome back!  We are excited to see everyone returning to campus and we are ready to serve your fitness and wellness needs at the Mitchell Center.  As with many things, visiting the Mitchell Center will look different during this COVID-19 period, but we are taking every precaution to make your experience safe and enjoyable.  Starting Monday, August 17, 2020, we will be welcoming our students back to the Mitchell Center.  On Monday, August 31, we will welcome our faculty/staff back into the building.
 
Mitchell Center Access
To access all of the Mitchell Center spaces, you will need to enter through the main entrance, swipe your card to gain access, then proceed to the main desk to either show your Health Badge (students) or have your temperature taken and a contact tracing form filled out (faculty/staff).  You will also check in to your recreation space there as well.
 
Mitchell Center Sign-Up
To help keep our capacities at the proper levels, everyone wanting to participate in the Mitchell Center will need to register for a time slot to utilize the space.  
 
To start the semester, in Phase 1, we will have the following spaces available:
  • Crown Fitness Center:
    • 30 Person Max Capacity
    • 45 minute workout slots available
    • Hours:
      • Monday-Friday
        • 6-8:30am
        • 9-11:30am
        • 12-2:30pm
        • 3-5:30pm
        • 6-8:30pm
      • Saturday/Sunday
        • 12:30-2:30pm
        • 3-5:30pm
  • Mitchell Track:
    • 25 Person Max Capacity
    • 45 minute workout time slots available
    • Hours:
      • Monday-Friday
        • 6-8:30am
        • 9-11:30am
        • 12-2:30pm
        • 3-5:30pm
        • 6-8:30pm
      • Saturday/Sunday
        • 12:30-2:30pm
        • 3-5:30pm
  • Trumbull Aquatics Center:
    • 40 Person Max Capacity
    • 1 hour workout time slots available
    • Hours:
      • Monday-Friday (until 9/6/20)
        • 7:30-8:30am
        • 12-1pm
        • 3-9pm
      • Saturday/Sunday
        • 12:30-4:30pm
  • Rec Gym, Squash/Racquetball - CLOSED
Mitchell Athletic Center Usage Policies:
  • Only Students/Faculty/Staff will be permitted to utilize the facilities
  • All patrons must register for a time slot to gain entry
  • All patrons must have an up-to-date Health Badge to gain entry
    • This includes temperature and symptom check
  • All patrons must wear a mask at all times
  • All patrons must follow the traffic patterns for each space
  • Locker room facilities will not be available
    • Patrons should come dressed in their workout attire and plan to leave in the same
  • Any area specific policies and procedures must be adhered to
  • Failure to adhere to any and all of the facility usage policies will result in a suspension of access privileges
Group Exercise Classes
We are committed to offering a wide range of fitness experiences and will be hosting our Group Exercise classes as both in-person and online sessions.  Many of our in-person sessions will be outside (weather permitting). Intramural and Club Sports
We are committed to offering you a diverse range of intramural sports this semester. Club sports will be determined by sport after meeting with the Director of Intramural and Club Sports.  We look forward to seeing you at the Mitchell Center soon!  If you have questions, contact:
