Hunt appeared in 34 games with the Seahawks since being selected in the sixth round of the 2016 draft. He started in 11 of those games, including eight at center in place of an injured Justin Britt in 2019. He had signed a restricted free agent tender with the Seahawks in April.
Jackson, who also signed a restricted free agent tender in April, spent the past three seasons in Seattle, appearing in 15 games, starting three, and recording 2.0 sacks in 2019.
Roos appeared in a total of 14 games over three seasons for the Seahawks, contributing primarily on special teams while bouncing between the practice squad and the active roster.
McKenzie spent last season on the Seahawks practice squad before signing to play in the XFL in January of 2020. McKenzie was placed on injured reserve by the Los Angeles Wildcats on February 20, then had his contract terminated when the league shut down in April. He agreed to a contract with the Seahawks just days later.
Smith, a sixth round draft pick by the Steelers in 2019, played on the practice squads for the Steelers and Jaguars before being added to the Seahawks practice squad in December.
Carr, Dawkins, Norwood and Wood-Anderson had all signed as undrafted free agents following the 2020 NFL Draft.
It has been a busy weekend for the Seahawks. Yesterday, the team acquired All-Pro safety Jamal Adams and a 2022 fourth-round pick from the Jets in exchange for safety Bradley McDougald, first-round picks in 2021 and 2022, and a third-round pick in 2021.
With today's moves, the Seahawks have 81 players on the active roster.
