ORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio – Construction of Center Ridge Road and Ohio 83 will feature curbs and gutter forming and installations this week along with a traffic shift. Ohio 83 will also have daily lane closures for pavement repairs.
Note the resurfacing and repairs of Ohio 83 is a separate project from the US 20/Center Ridge Road project.
The Ohio Department of Transportation provided the following construction schedule as of July 6 for North Ridgeville residents:
CENTER RIDGE ROAD – WEST OF JAYCOX ROAD
• Sidewalk grading as well as forming and pouring of concrete will continue on the north side of the road.
• Curb and gutter installation will continue from Ohio 83 to the west end of the project.
• During the construction services, drive access will either be closed or completed in halves.
• The contractor is responsible to coordinate with the property owners that will be affected.
CENTER RIDGE ROAD – EAST OF JAYCOX ROAD
• Forming up of curb and gutter cut out areas and beginning of forming up drive-way aprons.
• Filling and grading for the multi-use pathway on the south side of Center Ridge Road.
OHIO 83 & CENTER RIDGE ROAD
• Continue reconstruction of the intersection in the southeastern quadrant with grading and compacting of the embankment.
• Traffic has been shifted to the west side of Ohio 83 through Center Ridge Road heading northbound and southbound.
• The dedicated left turn lanes have been eliminated and the traffic signal timing will be changed accordingly.
OHIO 83 RESURFACING PROJECT
• OHIO 83 from Mills Road to Lorain Road will have daily, single lane closures for milling and pavement repairs.
• Use caution driving through the work zone for raised manhole castings, water valves and catch basins. Expect delays.
• Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
• Estimated completion of the project: July 2020
