The Dutchess County Law Enforcement Center, the headquarters of the sheriff's office, will reopen to the public on Monday, July 6, according to a release from the agency.
The center, located in the City of Poughkeepsie, will allow visitors in the lobby Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 3:45 p.m., with safeguards in place. All visitors must wear a mask, and undergo a temperature screening, the sheriff's office said. Picture identification is also required during the check-in process.

Appointments should be made for residents visiting the pistol permit division and if they need ink fingerprints to be taken, the agency said. If an amendment needs to be made to an existing pistol permit, an appointment can be made, the request can be mailed or it can be dropped off at the entrance.
The Law Enforcement Center has been closed to the public since March 16.
