The Inquirer and Mirror
(May 16, 2021) The Saltmarsh Senior Center will open Tuesday, June 1 at partial capacity. It will continue to Zoom all its exercise programs until a hybrid model is developed.
There will be one activity each afternoon in the Saltmarsh building with a maximum of 10 participants. Days and times of some programs have changed to accommodate a variety of programming.
Vaccinations are not required to enter the Saltmarsh.
Adherence to several new protocols are required for all to minimize transmission of the COVID-19 virus and other variants:
- All participants are required to read, sign and return a waiver of liability to the staff before participating.
- All will follow proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette.
- Masks are required indoors, in accordance with the governor's orders.
- All will ensure social distancing is maintained and/or abide by assigned seating.
- The center will not provide food or coffee at this time. Water is available from staff.
- Temperatures will be screened upon entering the building.
- Contact tracing will be conducted via My Senior Center.
- All will enter through the ramp door and exit through the side door.
- Pre-registration is required by calling (508)v228-4490. Participants will be wait listed for the following week’s activity if the capacity limit is reached.
