MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — As preparation for Conference USA play starting in January continues, Middle Tennessee will host Covenant Saturday afternoon in what the Blue Raiders hope will be another bounce-back game.
 
Due to the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, fans will not be allowed entry to watch the game in Murphy Center.
 
However, MT's Saturday afternoon matchup with Covenant can be seen on CUSA.tv. Also, fans are encouraged to tune into the radio broadcast by Chip Walters and Kyle Turnham on the following stations: WGNS 1450 AM/100.5 FM/101.9 FM; The Game 2 94.9 FM/95.1 FM.

About the Blue Raiders
» MT is coming off a 70-80 loss at the hands of Chattanooga on Monday night, its second home game of the 2020-21 season.
» The Blue Raiders are 1-1 after a loss this season, including a 17-point victory over Murray State in the home opener.
» Four Blue Raiders have started all four games of the 2020-21 season: Jordan Davis, DeAndre Dishman, Donovan Sims and Jalen Jordan.
» Defense is the specialty for MT so far this season, as the Blue Raiders are second in C-USA in three-point field goal defense (22.4%) and turnovers forced per game (18.5).
» Dishman, a redshirt-junior forward, leads MT statistically with 9.8 points per game to go with 5.5 rebounds per game.
» Jo'Vontae Millner-Criss comes off the bench and leads MT in rebounding with 5.8 boards per contest and is one of five Blue Raiders to average at least 8.5 points per game.

» Saturday's contest against Covenant will be the second meeting between the two programs.
» MT took an 86-53 win at home over the Scots in 2003.
 
Scouting the Scots
» Covenant, an NCAA Division III school from the USA South Conference, opened the season with losses to Samford and NAIA Faulkner in the first week of its season.
» Most recently, the Scots stepped back into Division III play, winning against East Texas Baptist and Belhaven on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, respectively.
» The Scots also added a game this week against Trevecca, which will be played Friday night, less than 24 hours from tip-off time in Murphy Center.
» Covenant scores 76.5 points per game and shares the ball well on offense, averaging 18.7 assists per contest.
» The Scots are led by 6-foot-9 senior forward Will Crumly — 16.7 points per game, 7.3 rebounds per game and 60% field goal percentage — and 6-foot-4 sophomore guard Luke Touliatos — 16.3 points per game and 45% three-point field goal percentage.
