TAMPA — Now that Tom Brady has a new home in Tampa Bay, the Bucs quarterback’s TB12 wellness brand has opened its newest training center in Tampa.
The TB12 Performance and Recovery Center opened Wednesday at 4809 North Armenia Ave. It is the third TB12 center and the first outside of Massachusetts, joining locations in Boston and Foxborough.
The location, which is just minutes from the Bucs’ team facility in West Tampa and Raymond James Stadium, will offer individualized training regiments that replicate those practiced by Brady and his body coach and TB12 co-founder, Alex Guerrero.
“Opening a center in Tampa was a huge priority for all of us at TB12,” John Burns, the CEO of TB12, said. “While Tom is currently focused on the NFL season, Alex has been leading the team personally through this opening and really drove getting this center built.
“We’ve been focused on bringing TB12 to Tampa for quite some time now, and our team worked quickly after finding the space to bring it to life,” Burns added.
TB12 was founded in 2013 by Brady and Guerrero and focuses on injury prevention and recovery with training centered around deep-force muscle pliability, hydration, nutrition, functional strength and conditioning and cognitive fitness.
Brady, who is the oldest player in the NFL at 43, credits the methodology for extending his career, as does his longtime teammate and Bucs tight end Rob Gronkowski, who emerged from retirement this season to rejoin Brady in Tampa Bay.
“Clients can expect very similar offerings as our New England Centers offer, including personalized one-on-one sessions with our TB12 body coaches,” Burns said. “The Tampa center features multiple client treatment rooms where we work with clients to get them pain free and achieving their full athletic potential using our training methods.”
