MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison has a new place to help men dealing with addiction remain sober after their treatment.
The Tellurian treatment center has opened a sober living home called Jeremy's Place on Madison's east side.
It's named after Jeremy Likwarz. He struggled with addiction and lost his battle with mental health issues and substance use disorder in 2018.
His mother worked with Tellurian on plans for the home.
"Addiction doesn't discriminate. It affects the whole family," said Patti Likwarz, Jeremy's mother.
"By telling Jeremy's story, it leads into letting other people know they are not alone and that there is hope that they can recover."
Men who live at Jeremy's Place are eligible for services at Tellurian.
Officials say that will increase their likelihood of remaining sober.
